Kanonerskiy Tunnel (Russian: Канонерский тоннель) is a tunnel under the Sea Canal in the Kirovsky District of Saint Petersburg. The tunnel provides a link between Kanonerskiy Island and Dvinskaya Street on Gutuevskiy Island.
The tunnel was constructed between 1975 and 1983 by using Immersed tube method.
It was the first underwater tunnel constructed in the USSR.

Saint Isaac’s cathedral is tallest in Saint Petersburg. There are mosaic paintings and very rich marbles and granites used inside and outside. There is a colonnaded walkway to the observation area of the dome and the view from is amazing. You can see all the famous landmarks and cathedrals from there.
