A spoonful of talent: Filipino sculptor wows with cutlery art

Uri Geller might think he’s covered the spoon bending-related entertainment market, but now he’s got some stiff (and some would argue more useful) competition. Filipino artist Danny Ponce is wowing the world with his cutlery sculptures. Based in Qatar since 2006, Danny takes everyday forks and spoons and turns them into eye-popping metal artworks. Since taking up the craft, Danny has created 16 magnificent sculptures, including motorbikes, a robot, and even a tennis player. If you go out for dinner with Danny, however, we recommend ordering something you can eat with your hands. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freedom over censorship, truth over narrative.
