17 августа 2015 г. по распоряжению Правительства России в Сирию вылетел самолет МЧС России с грузом гуманитарной помощи на борту. 18 августа обратным рейсом МЧС из Латакии доставлено в Москву около 90 граждан России, СНГ и других иностранных государств. On August 18, 2015 a Russian plane carrying humanitarian aid to Syria on its return flight picked up some 87 citizens who wanted to leave the war-torn country, an emergencies ministry spokesman told TASS. On August 17, 2015 the Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft delivered more than 20 tonnes of humanitarian cargo - food products, including canned meat, fish and milk products, and daily necessities - to the port city of Latakia in north-western Syria.
