Ој Србијо мила мати/Oh Serbia dear mother

Ој Србијо мила мати/Oh Serbia dear mother is a Serbian patriotic song written by Luka Sarić in 1860 in the literary magazine of Slovenka in Novi Sad. n 1891, a Czech migrant to Serbia, Vojtěch Šístek, a member of the Singing Association Branko in Niš, composed the melody and the song quickly became very popular. The song was quite longer, but it was shortened in 1909 by Dragomir Brzak. It`s best known for being an unofficial anthem of the Nedicev`s Serbia (German puppet state).
