UN resolution on Ukraine reparations ‘pretext to steal frozen Russian funds’

Almost half of UN member states abstained or voted against a resolution adopted by the General Assembly calling on Russia to pay war reparations to Ukraine. Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's deputy ambassador to the UN, believes that this is a legally doubtful initiative and serves as a pretext to justify ‘stealing Russian assets’ frozen since the beginning of the conflict.
