By investigating the underwater environment of the Russian Federation and the world ocean the team of the Center expands human genuine knowledge of the events of the past and promotes a proper understanding of the natural phenomena. The undersea environment holds historical evidence in a remarkable way. Thanks to modern technologies we have an opportunity to literally look into the depths of the sea and apply what we have learned in the future. Our team includes historians, archaeologists, divers, hydronauts and many others. And all together we make up the Underwater Research Center of the Russian Geographical Society.
