Yakutsk ice swimmers start season with freezing dip

The Russian ice swimmers’ club ‘Sakha morzhi’ took a dip in a Yakutsk ice hole to mark the start of winter. While the air temperature was a chilly -32°C (-25.6°F), the water was a much more manageable -3°C (26.6°F). The swimmers commented that the water was ‘lovely’ (making onlookers question their sanity), and praised the health benefits of sub-zero swimming, but they didn’t elaborate on which parts of them ended up turning blue. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freedom over censorship, truth over narrative.
