00:00:00 - 00:01:12 - World War II Heroes. 00:01:12 - Song About the Earth. This is my tribute and homage to all heroes of World War II. This year marks the 75th anniversary of May 9, 1945 Victory of the Soviet Union against Germany in World War II. I am grateful for their sacrifice. I remember, I am proud and I will never forget. We will never forget. This video is a commemoration of all victims and heroes around the world and in the Soviet Union as it was the deadliest and most brutal of wars ever known in humankind. Almost 30 million Soviet People perished, some historians and experts say there was closer to 40 million actual deaths in the Soviet Union as a result of that heinous war. Hitler’s decision to invade Poland in 1939 triggered Britain to send in their troops, signaling the beginning of WWII. On June 22, 1941, Germany invaded the Soviet Union. The Nazi invasion of the USSR in June 1941 heralded the beginning of the most titanic battle in the history of humanity. Within one week, around 150,000 Soviet soldiers were wounded or dead. It is estimated that 70 million people died during WWII. Included in this figure is the conservative estimate of 26.6 million Soviet civilians and soldiers who perished while liberating their land from the fascist aggressors. The war ended in complete defeat for Nazi Germany less than four years later with the fall of Berlin on May 9, 1945. Victims and Heroes of war and the end of the Great Patriotic War are commemorated on May 9th - Victory Day. ********** Vladimir Vysotsky “A Song about the Earth” Who had said, "It’s all burnt far and wide From this Earth seedlings never will sprout"? Who dared say that the Earth has now died? No, She’s quiet and waiting it out. Motherhood can’t be taken from her, For the sea can’t be drained with a leaf... Who believed that the Earth is all burned? No, she’s black from her sorrow and grief. They have cut trenches into her flesh And the bombs have blown wounds on her plain. And the nerves of the Earth, raw and fresh, Cannot speak of unearthly deep pain. She’ll endure, she will bear all things - List her not with the cripples unhealed. Who dared say that the Earth never sings, That her lips now forever are sealed? No! She stifles her moans and she calls Ringing high from each wound and each hole, For the Earth is our soul, after all, And jackboots cannot trample a soul. ❤ As always with love from my heart to your soul, Kira ❤ ▶ ❈ FIND ME❈ : ✔ ❈ I N S T A G R A M: https://instagram.com/MissKiraArik/ ✔ ❈ T W I T T E R: https://twitter.com/MissKiraArik ✔❈ F A C E B O O K: https://facebook.com/MissKiraArik/ ✔ ❈ OF F I C I A L W E B S I T E: https://kiraarik.com/ ✔ ❈ E - M A I L B U S I N E S S I N Q U I R I E S: Kira@KiraArik.com
