Cop saves child’s life in breathtaking bodycam footage

Officer Nick Ferara was at LAPD Harbor Station meeting with a member of the community when a nearby child started choking and having a seizure. Ferara, with no time to wait for an ambulance, lept into action and took control of the situation. Holding one-year-old Louis Benitez in one hand, he began patting him hard on the back, in accordance with LAPD CPR training for a child. Miraculously, little Louis started breathing again, and Ferara was able to put him in the recovery position until an ambulance arrived. Louis went on to make a complete recovery. Meanwhile, the adventures of Nick Ferara continued.
