Education through Wrestling

Wrestling, judo and sambo are among the most socially significant and successful sports in Russia. The winning power of martial arts is based, among other things, on their philosophy, which shapes character, discipline and the will to win. As a country of champions, Russia continues to strengthen its sporting traditions through generational continuity, whereby young people inherit the principles of legendary champions. The Choice of the Strong project has become an important initiative, bringing together wrestlers, judokas and samboists to systematically promote these sports. What are the goals of this project? What is the brotherhood of ‘broken ears’ and how does it continue to function after sport? What is the potential of martial arts as a tool for sports diplomacy? How can the educational aspect of training be strengthened? What effect does personality have on young athletes? How do martial arts classes help in real life?
