"They Have a Motherland" 1949. A film from Stalin's time. Dramatic music by Aram Khachaturian. A wonderful star cast with Vera Maretskaya, Natasha Zashchipina, Kadochnikov with the sparkling humor of Faina Ranevskaya. Lies. An endless circle of lies and propaganda with no end in sight. Fragile souls, childhood killed by war. It's worth watching it in its entirety. Understanding what was wrong, then, perhaps, will help to realize what is wrong with us today, I so hope so.
