The White Armies during the Russian Civil War
During the Russian Civil War, which took place from 1918 to 1922 after the Russian Revolution, the Whites were a diverse group of anti-Bolshevik forces that opposed the Red Army and the Bolshevik government. The Whites were made up of various factions, including monarchists, democrats, liberals, and socialists, who all shared a common goal of overthrowing the Bolsheviks and restoring a more traditional and conservative government. The Whites were supported by several foreign powers, including Great Britain, France, and the United States, who hoped to prevent the spread of communism.
