In late November of 1994 my Step Father, Charles Patton McCorkle, was in the middle of building a 42-foot sail boat at a boat yard near Sacramento, California. I shot this video using a VHS-C home video camera. I'm posting it now as a tribute to Dad, who passed away June 25, 2013 at the age of 78. He was a civil engineer with a passion for building who did it all: concept, design, sawing, hammering, sanding... even creating his own forge for specialized parts. His excitement comes through as he shows off the early stages of Sunseeker which would be launched in the Fall of 1996.
