This is an unusual little radio from the USSR which I have owned for many years and it still works well. It covers MW and SW, the USSR covered a huge area so many radio stations there were broadcast on SW. It also has a little torch with a little door which slides over it, then just the dial lights up. It works extremely well on SW, it even has a fine tuning control, and in the evenings it picks up loads of stations, and MW works well too. It feels solidly built weighing 280 grams with a PP3 battery loaded. It was built in Leningrad in the Ravenstvo Elektromechanics Works (no brand names in the USSR), and on the front it bears the rare CCCP quality mark of the Soviet Union, awarded for the very best consumer and technical products made in the USSR. Here it is tuning through part of SW.
