Black Tower Elder Autumn Update #autumn
Several years ago we planted then dog up and transplanted these two Black Tower Elders into a spot we could enjoy. the Black Tower Elder is a unique tall columnar perennial with dark green leaves with a brownish tinge in the sunlight. sometimes one or more of the branches will have reddish green leaves instead. These plants are really neat looking and can be used as a focal point or as a frame, say on each side of your driveway. They do well being pruned in spring, and grow back in amazingly quickly throughout just one growing season. In this video I show you just how tall they grow after pruning later in Spring compared to now that it is the end of October.
